An indoor mystery when there is no printer

Share a screen, take turns checking the clues, and keep your results in the game. No printed sheets or cutting.

Garden Mail Mystery is a six-clue mystery about a mixed-up delivery round. Use an internet-connected tablet or laptop so everyone can see the records. A phone works for one person holding it and reading aloud. Allow roughly 35–50 minutes, with breaks whenever needed.

Set up without printed materials

  1. Gather around one screen and use Team 1 for a shared game.
  2. Choose a reader, a clue checker and someone to type the agreed answer. Share jobs in pairs and swap after each clue.
  3. Use the on-screen result badges when the final clue opens. A blank scrap of paper is optional for working.
  4. Stay in the same browser to resume saved progress. This is an online activity; it is not an offline download.

Try the first decision together

Arrange the four event cards using every witness note. "Immediately before" means there is no event between them. Report the requested position after the whole order has been checked.

Agree on the whole order before entering the requested event ID. The game checks answers and records correct results.

If somebody gets stuck

Choose “Show hint 1” for one next step. A wrong answer can be tried again. “Pause timer” pauses the clock, and solved clues can be revisited with the clue buttons. The final clue stays locked until the earlier results are ready.

One screen, one conversation

Ask the next player to point out the evidence before the typist submits it. Keep an adult available to explain instructions. If the children need more reading support, start with the read-aloud plan.
