No-Cut Party Setup
The family collection uses whole sheets, with no cutting or folding. Paper and pencils are enough. Older catalogue packs also include full-sheet alternatives.
Use the full-sheet layout
Stack the six player pages in order and place the badge record alongside them. Use a pencil to write answers directly on the full sheets. Sequence cards can be ordered by writing 1, 2, 3 and 4 beside each printed card; they do not need to be cut apart.
- Keep player clues as whole pages
- Write each badge digit on the whole-page record
- Leave the paper unlock card uncut
- Write positions beside the sequence cards
- Keep the final clue face down until ready
Use marks instead of moving pieces
For an assignment clue, make a small three-by-three table on spare paper. Cross out each forbidden pairing and circle the remaining matches. For a sequence clue, write position numbers beside the cards. For coordinates, write one letter below each printed coordinate. No card needs to be cut out or folded.
Prepare with what you already have
Paper and pencils are the only required materials. The story is imaginary; no real bakery food, toy purchase, lantern, lock or gift is necessary. Use the unlock card and ending to celebrate the result.
