Keep a Party on Time
Use time as a guide for the host. Nobody loses for taking longer, and the timer can be paused whenever needed.
A 35-minute plan
Allow 3 minutes for the story, about 5 minutes for each of the five badge clues, 5 minutes for the final combination and 2 minutes to celebrate. This is a planning estimate rather than a measured child playtime.
- 0–3: opening and roles
- 3–28: five badge clues, about five minutes each
- 28–33: final sheet and code
- 33–35: ending and certificates
A 45-minute plan
Add a 5-minute break after clue 3 and a 5-minute drawing or certificate activity at the end. Keep the final sheet out of view during the break, then bring the group back to the badge record. Pause the web timer so it continues to reflect active play.
If the party starts late
Use the full sheets with no cutting, read the opening yourself, and offer hints earlier. Do not silently remove a badge clue: the final sheet needs all five results. If the group must stop, save the paper badge record or use the player page progress recovery.
