Share a Mystery with Six Kids
Two teams of three give six children room to read, record and check. Both teams use the same story and can finish at their own pace.
Print two complete player sets
Choose 6 players and 2 teams. The full bundle has 34 pages: 12 clues, 4 record sheets, 3 host pages, 3 hint pages, 6 invitations and 6 certificates. For a smaller print job, download player, props, host and hints separately; those total 22 pages.
- Team 1: six clue pages, two record sheets, three pencils
- Team 2: six clue pages, two record sheets, three pencils
- Adult: one answer guide and one three-level hint set
- Invitations and certificates are optional
- Label each complete player set before starting
Rotate three jobs
Reader reads the prompt and evidence. Recorder writes deductions and badge digits. Checker asks which printed rule supports the answer. Swap jobs after every clue. With Pocket Detective Club, the checker makes sure every clerk rule is used and every final shelf column is checked.
Let each team finish its own case
Keep hints with the adult and offer each team its next level separately. If one team finishes first, ask them to explain how one clue ruled out a mistaken shelf, then draw a celebration mark on their record. Wait to read the ending until the other team is ready; pause the timer whenever useful.
