Set Up in One Room
Turn one table into a complete mystery. Every clue stays within reach, and nothing needs to be hidden around the house.
Use three paper stations
At the left end, stack clues 1 and 2. In the middle, place clues 3, 4 and 5 beside the badge record. Keep the final sheet face down at the right end. Children can work seated and pass a page to the next person.
- LEFT: opening and clues 1–2
- MIDDLE: clues 3–5, pencils and badge record
- RIGHT: final sheet face down
- HOST: answers and hint cards, facing away from players
Before you start
Open the player pack before printing. Check that all six clue pages are present, the maze walls are clear, and the symbol labels are readable. Put the host pack in a separate folder. This layout works for Birthday Starship, Cloud Castle Invitation, Friendly Dragon Delivery, Garden Mail Mystery and Cupcake Constellation.
- One six-page player pack per team
- Two prop pages per team
- One pencil per child
- One adult with the host guide
- A clear place to write each badge digit
Start without a treasure hunt
Read the opening on the first sheet. Explain that the first five clues create five badge digits, and the last page says how to combine them. A physical box, lock, prize or phone is optional. Keep every clue on the table rather than in cupboards or appliances.
