Team Play for Eight Kids
Use two teams of four with separate paper sets. Each team can solve the same story at its own pace.
Print the right quantities
For the original Rainbow Bakery or Ocean Rescue pack, set Players to 8 and Teams to 2. Family pilot packs support up to six children. A complete host bundle contains 38 pages: 12 player pages, 4 prop pages, 3 host pages, 3 hint pages, 8 invitations and 8 certificates. You can save paper by printing only player, props and host if you do not need invitations or certificates.
- TEAM 1: player pages 1–6, two prop sheets, four pencils
- TEAM 2: player pages 1–6, two prop sheets, four pencils
- HOST: one answer set, one hint set
- Label each set Team 1 or Team 2 before starting
Four jobs with rotation
Choose a Reader, Recorder, Path finder and Checker. The checker asks whether the team used every printed condition. Swap jobs after each clue. Make the aim cooperation rather than a fastest-team contest; either team may ask for a hint.
Share the final celebration
Keep the final sheets separate until both teams have their five badges. If one finishes sooner, invite them to decorate their paper unlock card. Read the ending together and give every child a certificate. The timer is a pacing aid and can be paused.
