Print in Black and White
Every puzzle uses named shapes, printed digits and text rules. Color is decoration, so ordinary monochrome printing is enough.
Check one sample first
Use Pocket Detective Club as a print sample. Print should show distinct shape outlines and numbered positions. Clerk should show item names and four NOT rules. Address should show clear letters in every coordinate cell. These match the actual previews.
- Select A4 or Letter to match your printer
- Use actual size or 100% when possible
- Print page 1 as a shape-comparison sample
- Check that triangle, heart and hexagon outlines are distinct
- Keep enough contrast to see star points and circle outlines
Avoid printing the host answers by mistake
The player pack contains only the six player clue pages. Host, hints and the full host bundle are separately labeled. Check the PDF title before handing out paper. A full host bundle is useful for the adult but includes answers.
When a printer is faint
If shape outlines or letters are faint, print a single sample with a darker setting before the whole pack. Shape names, yes/no rules and coordinate labels carry the clues without relying on blue or yellow. Download the player pack rather than printing the site navigation.
